ABOUT:
At the young age of 10, Steve has fond memories of helping his Grandfather and Dad design and build custom in ground swimming pools.
In fact, his Great Grandfather invented the steel wall vinyl liner design in the early 60’s, an invention still used today given its durability, high quality and Michigan’s ever-changing temperatures.
Each summer, Steve continued helping them and upon high school graduation, began working full-time. He learned everything he could about the pool business from his family and in fact, he still services pools today for many of the customers they built in ground pools for long ago.
Over 20 years ago, he got married and started a family. Given the seasonality of the pool business, he decided to diversify his skillset and apply what he had learned in the pool industry to home renovations. This expansion of his business helped ensure that he could provide for his family all year-round. Steve began learning all aspects of home renovations, specifically in the areas of custom kitchens & bathrooms, masonry/tile work, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, etc.
As he reflects back over the years, he learned important lessons from his Grandfather and my Dad. Specifically:
- Always do quality work. Never compromise – ever.
- Customer Service is very important – find ways to go above and beyond.
- Be on the job site doing the actual work – don’t just send a crew there to do it.
- Love what you do – be proud.
Born and raised in Flint, Michigan and still resides in Genesee County, with his wife and 3 kids. He’s a Worship Leader at his church and has been a musician for over 35 years as a drummer in a variety of bands. Given his love for the arts, he enjoys helping customers design their project(s).
Most of his business is based on referrals and he takes pride in the work that he does and enjoys helping others.
